Shamrock Princesses
Each year, the St. Patrick’s Association invites Irish women 21 and over to join the sisterhood of Shamrock Princesses and run to be Miss Shamrock, our Queen of Green and our annual Association representative. For six weeks leading up to St. Patrick’s Day, the Shamrock Princesses fundraise, sell commemorative buttons, volunteer in the community, and spread Irish cheer throughout the Twin Cities, all while promoting our mission!
The Association votes and chooses our Miss Shamrock from this pool of princesses based on various criteria. The princesses and Miss Shamrock spend the remainder of the year visiting area parades and festivals, promoting our parade, and inspiring Irish women and future Shamrock Princesses to give back to their community and celebrate their heritage.
